Fox Rothschild will open its first office in Texas by merging with Dallas firm David & Goodman, P.C., which focuses on employment, real estate and other matters.
Fox Rothschild firmwide managing partner, Mark Silow, mentioned that a mutual client recommended David & Goodman as a potential merger partner to Fox Rothschild after using the Dallas firm for a Texas real estate transaction. On September 29, 2014, the EnLink Midstream companies, EnLink Midstream Partners, LP (NYSE:ENLK) (the Partnership) and EnLink Midstream, LLC (NYSE:ENLC) (the General Partner) (together “EnLink”), announced that a subsidiary of the Partnership signed a definitive agreement with Chevron Pipe Line Company and Chevron Midstream Pipelines LLC to acquire Gulf Coast natural gas pipeline assets including the Bridgeline system (“the natural gas assets”) predominantly located in Southern Louisiana for $235 million, subject to certain adjustments. On September 24, 2014, Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation (NYSE: COG) announced the closing of a $925 million private placement of senior unsecured notes to a group of institutional investors. In total, Cabot raised $925 million through the following three series of notes: $100 million of 7-year 3.24% notes due 2021, $575 million of 10-year 3.67% notes due 2024 and $250 million of 12-year 3.77% notes due 2026. Proceeds from the offering will be used to repay Cabot’s outstanding borrowings under its credit facility, fund its Eagle Ford Shale acquisition and for other general corporate purposes. (more…)

Sandra joins the firm’s labor and employment law group. She will focus her practice on advising and counseling employers on a broad range of employment related issues, formulating preventive strategies, drafting employee handbooks and personnel policies and procedures and representing employers before federal and state agencies on discrimination charges and claims on the basis of age, sex, race, disability, religion and other protected categories. Her work will also include representing employers in grievances, arbitrations, investigations and settlement negotiations. She has considerable experience drafting non-competition and employment contracts. Ramos White received her law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 1997 and her bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1991.
