Porter Hedges represented Johnson Rice & Company L.L.C., as the representative of the underwriters, in a public offering by Sanchez Energy Corporation (Sanchez Energy). Total net proceeds to Sanchez Energy were $241.6 million.
Sanchez Energy intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to partially fund the previously announced $220 million Wycross acquisition of 3,600 net acres in the Eagle Ford Shale’s McMullen County, to fund a portion of its 2013 and preliminary 2014 capital budget, which is primarily focused on the Eagle Ford Shale, and for general corporate purposes, including working capital.
