Jackson Walker L.L.P. successfully represented its client Armstrong Associates, Inc. in a reorganization that effectively merged Armstrong Associates into LKCM Equity Fund.

Armstrong Associates is a Texas no–load equity mutual fund for which the investment adviser is Jackson Walker client Portfolios, Inc. (a registered investment adviser). LKCM Equity Fund is a series of no–load mutual funds for which the investment adviser is Luther King Capital Management, Inc., based in Fort Worth.

The transaction, which closed on May 10, 2013, involved the transfer of Armstrong Associates’ assets to LKCM in exchange for shares of LKCM and LKCM’s assumption of all of Armstrong Associates’ liabilities.
