Akin Gump advised Oryx Energy Projects & Services, a Qatari service provider for the oil and gas, petrochemical and utility sectors, in a joint venture announced today with Stork Technical Services, a Netherlands-based asset integrity services provider for the oil and gas, power and chemical utility industries. The joint venture, to be known as Stork Oryx Turbo Machinery Services LLC, will be based in Ras Laffan, Qatar, and will offer combined technical services capabilities in the Middle East and North Africa market.
Douglas Glass, a partner in Akin Gump’s energy practice, represented Oryx in the transaction.
