Law firm Winstead PC welcomes shareholder and environmental attorney Christopher B. Pepper, previously a staff attorney for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and a senior research associate with the Institute of Environmental and Human Health in Lubbock, Texas.

Pepper is an influential environmental attorney with more than 10 years of experience representing clients in various matters including environmental permitting, environmental audits and litigation, and emergency response and public outreach. His background includes assisting clients with the policies and regulations of the TCEQ, EPA, Comptroller’s Office, TxDOT, the Texas Department of Agriculture, and the Edwards Aquifer Authority.

Pepper is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Aggie Bar Association, Texas Ag Industries Association, Texas Grain & Feed Association, the Texas Seed Trade Association, and he serves as legal counsel to the Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association. A registered patent attorney, Pepper’s published work has been featured in the Journal of Land, Resources, & Environmental Law, the Federal Facilities Environmental Journal, and the Journal of Wildlife Diseases. Pepper received his J.D./M.S. Environmental Toxicology from Texas Tech University, where he served as president of the Student Bar Association.
