Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C., a law firm with over 100 attorneys and offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas, announces that Associates Zachery Z. Annable and Randel A. Canché have joined the firm. Zac will be working in the Insolvency, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights group in the Dallas office and Randy will be working in the Business Litigation group in the Houston office.

Zachery Z. Annable
Zac’s practice emphasis is on assisting corporate clients with bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters including pre-bankruptcy counseling, bankruptcy filings, debtor and creditor representation, and bankruptcy related litigation and adversary proceedings. He has experience in handling a wide variety of bankruptcy matters for clients involved in the construction, energy/utilities and insurance industries.

Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, Zac served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Barbara J. Houser, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas. He received his Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude, from The University of Alabama School of Law and Bachelor of Science from Purdue University.

Randel A. Canché
Randy has an extensive trial background and litigates in areas including commercial litigation, admiralty and maritime litigation, construction litigation, products and premises liability, intellectual property and tort litigation. He has settled hundreds of claims and has tried dozens of cases to verdict in state and federal courtrooms throughout the United States. Randy has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in multimillion dollar lawsuits where he has obtained favorable settlements and verdicts for his clients. Some of his more recent representations include:

  • Absolving the world’s largest commercial refrigeration company from a seven-figure premises liability lawsuit brought by plaintiffs. The plaintiffs subsequently non-suited claims after the defendant filed motions for a summary judgment.
  • Defending two international oil service companies in an eight-figure plant explosion matter. The case was tried to verdict and parties subsequently settled for a low amount.
  • Prosecuting an eight-figure breach of contract claim brought by an oil services company against a large international oil concern.
  • Defending one of the world’s largest port lessees in wrongful death, premises liability and negligence actions brought by several parties seeking relief. The trial judge granted a summary judgment in favor of the client with the appellate court upholding the trial count’s findings of facts and conclusions of law.
  • Prosecuting a utility patent application of a switch blade that operates without the use of springs.
  • Defending a large corporation’s management team from whistleblower and discrimination claims.

Randy received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law and Bachelor of Science, graduating with high honors, form Baylor University.
