The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew Sikes has joined the Firm’s Trial Department as an Associate in the Dallas office.

“Matthew joins us with significant skills and experience in trials and appeals in complex business cases, and he is a great addition to our team,” says Joseph S. Pevsner, the Firm’s Trial Department Leader.

Sikes focuses his practice on litigation and dispute resolution. He represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters involving claims of professional liability, fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, usury, tortious interference, civil RICO violations, and shareholder oppression. He also has experience in land use matters. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Dallas Bar Association, American Bar Association, The College of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, and Baylor Law Alumni and Law Review Alumni Associations.

He received a J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law in 2009 and a B.A. from Baylor University in 2005. He previously served as an intern for Chief Judge Walter Smith of the Western District of Texas. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, Sikes was an Associate in the Commercial Disputes Practice Group of K&L Gates in Dallas.
