The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce Dan J. Hopper has joined the Firm’s Real Estate and Banking Practice Group in the Dallas office.  He joins Thompson & Knight as an Attorney.

“Dan’s knowledge of a vast range of real estate issues, most notably real estate capital markets, is a welcome addition to our practice. We are excited that he has joined us and look forward to working with him,” says Andrew A. Ingrum, the Firm’s Real Estate and Banking Practice Group Leader.

Hopper focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate and business transactions. He works with special servicers in the CMBS market and other financial institutions in connection with all aspects of real property secured loan workouts and REO dispositions. In addition, Hopper assists companies with respect to the financing, acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial real property.

Hopper received his J.D., magna cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2007, where he was a member of the SMU Law Review Association, and his B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance, summa cum laude, from Abilene Christian University in 1997. He is actively involved in numerous organizations, including the State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association.
