The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Joseph E. Bain and Kelly M. Perez as Associates in the Firm’s Dallas and Houston offices.

Bain joins the Firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group in Houston. His practice includes business restructurings, workouts, and bankruptcy litigation, with a particular focus on the representation of investment funds and financial institutions in distressed situations. He received a J.D., cum laude, from George Mason University School of Law in 2009 and a B.B.A., magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University in 2003. He is admitted to practice in New York, and his Texas admission is pending.

Perez joins the Firm’s Tax Practice Group in Dallas. She focuses her practice on estate planning, estate administration, probate and fiduciary litigation, and charitable planning. She received a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. from Cornell University in 2003. She served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Chief Judge Donetta W. Ambrose in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in 2007. She is admitted to practice in Texas.
