Global law firm White & Case LLP continues to grow its Houston office with the addition of new partner Steven Tredennick. Tredennick will be part of the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and will work closely with its Global Oil & Gas Industry Group. Tredennick was previously the chair of the Corporate Practice for Paul Hastings’ Houston office.

“Steven arrives to the Firm with more than 20 years of corporate M&A experience practicing in Houston, which is the capital of the global oil & gas industry,” said Philip Stopford, co-head of White & Case’s Global Oil & Gas Industry Group. “Steven has not only handled complex, cross-border work in the Houston market, he has an intimate knowledge of the city’s oil & gas community, and he will aid us in building our oil & gas capabilities to meet our clients’ goals domestically and globally.”

Tredennick has a broad range of M&A expertise in a variety of energy-related industries, including oil & gas exploration and production, oilfield services, and natural gas storage and manufacturing. He has advised on a number of corporate transactional matters, and regularly represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies in complex M&A transactions, joint ventures and other strategic transactions.

Tredennick joins new White & Case partners James (Jay) Cuclis, Steve Otillar, Christopher Richardson and Charlie Ofner in the Firm’s Oil & Gas Industry Group, whose joining coincided with the opening of the Firm’s Houston office this year. In addition, Saul Daniel, an English-qualified White & Case partner who has practiced in London and Abu Dhabi and also is a member of the Firm’s Global Oil & Gas Industry Group, has joined the Firm’s Houston office.
