SNR Denton announced today that Rolando Pablos has joined the firm’s Public Law & Policy Strategies practice as a Senior Advisor. He brings more than a decade of public policy and business planning advisory services experience to the firm and its US and global clients.

“We are thrilled to have Rolando join our team, as he has a strong background and proven track record in bridging between the US, Mexico and Latin America,” said Gilberto Ocañas, Senior Advisor for SNR Denton and a recent leader of the National Latino Presidential Campaign. “His bicultural and bilingual background enables Rolando to perform specialized work such as assisting foreign clients establish operations and expand their markets in the US.”

Prior to SNR Denton, Pablos was a partner with the law firm of Monty Partners and founded R. B. Pablos P. C., a law firm dedicated to regulatory planning and advocacy with a focus on government procurement. He also co-founded Burg O.A. Entertainment, a communications company focused mainly on media strategy development for grassroots coalition building and litigation support. Previously, he served as general counsel to Francois-Charles Oberthur, a multinational firm specializing in high-security printing for the gaming industry, where he administered all legal, legislative and regulatory affairs for Oberthur’s US and Latin American gaming operations.

“I joined the SNR Denton team because of the opportunities that its deep bench in public policy and its expansive global platform will enable me to bring to my clients,” said Pablos.

In 2009, the ambassador of Spain to the US, the Honorable Jorge Dezcallar de Mazarredo, appointed him as honorary consul to Spain. In this position, he played a key role in facilitating two-way trade and investment opportunities between Spain and the US. In 2008, Governor Rick Perry appointed him the presiding officer of the Texas Racing Commission, which regulates and supervises race meetings in the state of Texas involving wagers on the result of greyhound or horse racing.

He earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1998, his M.A. from University of Houston in 1996 in Hotel and Restaurant Management, his M.B.A. from University of Texas in 1994 and his B.A. from St. Mary’s University in 1992.
