Polsinelli welcomes health care attorney Joi-lee K. Beachler to Dallas as an associate where she will concentrate her practice on general health care transactional and regulatory issues. Prior to joining the firm, Beachler served in the general counsel’s office of an Illinois hospital system.

“Joi-lee’s combination of experience as an attorney and health care professional allows her to bring another unique perspective to our clients,” said Matt Murer, chair of the Health Care practice group. “Polsinelli is committed to the recruitment of young attorneys like Joi-lee who will focus on practical solutions for our clients. She is a great addition to our robust national health care team.”

The American Lawyer Magazine featured Polsinelli in its June 2013 issue and recognized it as the fastest-growing law firm in America over the past five years. The firm’s nationally recognized Health Care Practice is the fourth largest in the nation according to the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA). Polsinelli attorney Kristen Rosati becomes president of the AHLA effective July 1.

Her compliance experience includes developing policies and advising on a number of regulatory issues, including federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, provider-based billing, and physician advertising and recruitment. .

In addition to health care transactional law and general regulatory issues, Beachler will also focus her practice on legal and ethical issues involved in patient care, including health care advance directives and informed consent.

“Polsinelli’s respected Health Care Practice is an excellent place for me to utilize my understanding of the issues hospitals and health systems are dealing with today,” Beachler said. “Given the complexities of what is going on in health care right now, I’m really excited to join Polsinelli’s deep bench of legal talent. There is a great skill-set at every level.”

Beachler earned her law degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2009, and followed that law degree with a Health Law LL.M. degree, magna cum laude, from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 2010.
