Polsinelli has added Robert W. (Bob) Dockery to its Dallas office as a shareholder, where he will join the firm’s national Securities & Corporate Finance Practice, with an emphasis on Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) work. His practice focuses on representation of clients in securities transactions, including private placements and underwritten public offerings; representation of public and private purchasers and sellers in corporate and real estate acquisitions; and advising of borrowers in corporate and real estate finance transactions.

“Bob brings a depth of experience that will enable us to further elevate the profile and capabilities of Polsinelli’s work in the REIT sector,” said Kevin Vold, chair of the firm’s Securities & Corporate Finance Practice. “With more than 30 years advising clients on their most critical corporate, securities and real estate-related transactions, he will serve as a trusted counselor to Polsinelli’s clients nationwide.”

Dockery also frequently advises companies and their boards of directors on corporate governance issues, periodic reporting compliance issues under securities laws and regulations, and general corporate matters. He has more than three decades of experience in corporate and securities law and was previously a partner with another prominent Am Law 100 firm.

“I was drawn to the strong reputation of Polsinelli’s Real Estate Practice and its capabilities across the U.S., as well as the growing stable of highly regarded attorneys in its Dallas office,” said Dockery. “Given these factors, I believe Polsinelli will be the ideal platform for delivering superior service to my clients, and I look forward to collaborating with Polsinelli’s multi-dimensional team.”

“The addition of Bob to the firm and our Dallas office further positions us to anticipate and meet the needs of our clients, in Texas and well beyond,” said Jonathan Henderson, managing partner of Polsinelli’s Dallas office and chair of the firm’s Corporate and Transactional Practice. “Bob also joins a dynamically growing team that is on the verge of moving to state-of-the-art offices in the newly constructed Frost Tower. This strategic growth and imminent office move are part of being responsive to client demand and optimally positioning ourselves to address future legal and business challenges.”

Dockery earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Texas Tech University School of Law and also completed his B.A. at Texas Tech. His past honors include being named a Texas Super Lawyer, selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in Dallas and named to the BTI National Client All Star Team.

Additionally, Dockery is an excellent source for reporters writing about the following topics:
•Initial public offerings and follow-on offerings of common and preferred stock
•Rule 144A offerings of corporate debt
•Real estate investment trusts
•Joint venture formations and related acquisitions
•Secured and unsecured corporate debt and real estate financings
