Phelps Dunbar LLP welcomes three new attorneys to the firm’s newest office in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas: Jared Harrell, Edel Cuadra, and Laura Bradarich. Mr. Harrell and Mr. Cuadra join the firm as counsel and Ms. Bradarich joins the firm as an associate.

Worth office continues to grow, so do our capabilities to serve our clients with local expertise,” said Matt Terrell, the office’s managing partner. “Their expertise in real estate, banking and labor and employment, respectively, brings a new dimension to the local services we are able to provide our clients and further enhances the broad expertise of the firm in serving our clients’ needs throughout the Gulf Coast States .”

With a deep understanding of economics and finance, Mr. Harrell advises individuals, businesses and financial institutions on the acquisition, disposition, management and financing of real and personal property assets. His experience includes all aspects of real estate, with an emphasis on the development of commercial property, the operation of agricultural property and the management of mineral properties. He also assists regional and national banks in connection with lending transactions secured by real estate and other commercial assets. In addition to his full-time law practice, Mr. Harrell is an adjunct instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington and teaches a course in real property law as part of its Master of Science in Real Estate curriculum. He joins the firm from Kelly, Hart & Hallman.

Mr. Cuadra brings a labor and employment focus to the firm’s Dallas/Ft. Worth office with expertise in state and federal employment laws. He represents employers, management and organizations across Texas in state and federal litigation, arbitrations and administrative hearings. Mr. Cuadra also has extensive experience litigating collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition, he counsels clients on various workplace matters related to compliance, best practices, investigations, policies and procedures, training and litigation prevention and claims avoidance.

Ms. Bradarich also practices in the area of labor and employment. She represents employers and organizations in employment-related litigation, and has experience with Title VII claims, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and EEOC and other government agency proceedings. Ms. Bradarich received her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2012.

Opened in July 2013, Phelps Dunbar’s Dallas/Ft. Worth office now has ten attorneys serving clients in the development of public and private infrastructure, particularly in the areas of property rights, eminent domain and real estate matters, as well as commercial litigation, intellectual property, labor and employment, insurance, banking, estate planning, and tax law.
