Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Tracey Davies has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a partner.  Previously at Vinson & Elkins, she will continue to focus on patent litigation, primarily in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries.

“Tracey is a bright and innovative intellectual property lawyer with substantial experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors,” said Ken Doran, Chairman and Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn.  “Our IP practice is extremely busy, and Tracey’s experience and expertise in handling complex patent litigation matters and counselling on strategic IP issues will enable us to further raise our profile, grow market share and better serve our clients.  We are very excited to have Tracey as our partner.”

“Tracey will be a terrific addition to the firm,” said Rob Walters, Co-Partner in Charge of the Dallas office.  “A splendid trial lawyer and widely recognized in the life sciences arena, Tracey is an emerging star in Texas and nationally.”

“I am excited to join Gibson Dunn, and look forward to working with my new colleagues,” said Davies.  “The firm has one of the premiere litigation practices in the country and an extremely successful IP and life sciences practice.  The combination will allow me to expand my practice and better serve my clients.”
