Seyfarth Shaw LLP is pleased to announce that leading labor and employment attorney Wanda Holloway has joined the firm as a partner in its Houston office.

Holloway has worked extensively with major multi-national clients on strategic employment and labor law initiatives, nationwide litigation and global risk management/compliance, and day-to-day challenges. Her experience both as trusted outside counsel to major clients in a variety of industries and as in-house counsel for Fortune 50 companies allows Holloway to bring a uniquely practical, business-focused perspective. She joins Seyfarth from Littler Mendelson, P.C.

Holloway is the latest in a string of preeminent Labor & Employment partners to join Seyfarth recently. The firm announced in early April that leading labor lawyer Marshall Babson joined as partner. The former member of the National Labor Relations Board is resident in Seyfarth’s New York and Washington, D.C. offices. In January, the firm brought on renowned ERISA litigator D. Ward Kallstrom in San Francisco. He joined Seyfarth from Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP. Peter Talibart, the former Global Head of Norton Rose’s employment department, also joined the firm earlier this year, opening Seyfarth’s new London office.

Holloway regularly assists clients with issues arising across the full spectrum of employment and labor law, including all types of litigation and administrative proceedings, labor and employment aspects of mergers and other significant corporate transactions, and global implications of major corporate policy and organizational changes. Holloway also has extensive experience working with companies on senior executive employment, retention, and separation agreements and frequently has the opportunity to partner with in-house counsel in handling critical matters that have C-suite or board level attention.

“I am amazed at how Seyfarth Shaw has taken a deeply held belief in unrivaled client service and turned that into tools and processes that truly make it possible for the firm to partner with clients on the most creative and effective level,” Holloway said. “When you add these visionary approaches to the outstanding quality of the lawyers and other professionals and the collaborative culture, you have an unbeatable formula for successfully and consistently meeting the needs of clients. In fact, the partnership with clients becomes so seamless that Seyfarth is able to help clients identify emerging issues and find the right business solutions to avoid potential pitfalls. I am excited at the opportunity to be a part of this creative and dedicated team.”

“Wanda Holloway is an all-star among labor and employment attorneys and we welcome her to the Seyfarth team, ” said Lisa J. Damon, chair of Seyfarth Shaw’s Labor & Employment department. “Wanda adds extra depth to our already leading national Labor & Employment department with her vast experience and great outcomes for major clients facing a host of litigation challenges and employment issues. She’ll be a huge contributor to our practice.”

Houston Managing Partner Mark W. Coffin echoed that sentiment. “Wanda Holloway is a significant addition to our Houston office, bolstering our labor and employment team, which is a historic strength of the firm,” Coffin said. “Wanda, who is known for her dedication to her clients and for building strong relationships as a result, shares Seyfarth’s core values and will be a natural fit with the Seyfarth family. She is certain to have a major impact on the Houston office and we look forward to working with her.”

Coffin added that Seyfarth’s Houston office is a particular “center of excellence” for wage and hour work, complex litigation and single plaintiff matters.

Holloway received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University and her law degree from Tulane Law School. She is admitted to practice in Texas and Louisiana and regularly assists clients with labor and employment law issues around the globe.
