Champe Fitzhugh joins Munsch Hardt’s Corporate & Securities practice as a Shareholder. Throughout his career, he has been involved in jury and bench trials, and arbitrations, involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, misrepresentation and personal injury claims, as well as a jury trial for a test group in a mass tort case, most frequently in the energy and construction industries. Most notably, Champe has participated in three International Chamber of Commerce arbitrations in front of tribunals sited in London, all in international matters, as well as some Texas-sited American Arbitration Association matters concerning primarily construction disputes.

Champe most recently served as the general counsel for a Swiss-based engineering, procurement and construction contractor that focuses primarily on the energy industry and is involved in a number of different related businesses. In this role, he was involved in contractual, tax, entity structuring, and dispute resolution matters throughout the world, in addition to participating in equity and stock transactions in the United States and in Europe.

Cathleen Slack joins Munsch Hardt’s Real Estate practice as a Shareholder. She routinely handles transactional matters involving office, retail, condominiums, skilled nursing facilities, multi-family and mixed-use developments. Cathleen’s practice includes representing clients in the acquisition, sale, development, financing, and leasing of commercial real estate. She also advises her clients in choice of entity, business formation, and mergers and acquisitions as well as general business transactional matters.

Cathleen’s background as a commercial property manager of an office tower in Houston, Texas, combined with her experience as an owner and manager during the start-up of a software development company provides her with a unique perspective to understand and respond to the needs of her real estate and corporate clients.

The Munsch Hardt office in Austin now includes 15 attorneys focused on full-service commercial legal needs.
