McGuireWoods LLP announced the addition of Jeffrey A. Gollomp and Bryce D. Linsenmayer, who have joined the firm’s energy team in Houston as partners.

Gollomp brings to the firm years of experience in the energy industry, having served as president of BNP Paribas Energy Trading GP (BNP Energy), and previously as general counsel for the company and its affiliate trading company in Calgary. Prior to its recent relocation to New York City, BNP Energy was one of the largest bank-affiliated energy marketing and trading companies in Houston. Leveraging his prior experience, Gollomp will focus his practice on representing clients in connection with structured physical and financial energy transactions and energy regulatory matters.

Linsenmayer brings to the firm extensive experience representing domestic and international public and privately held companies in the energy, environmental and high tech industries. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset acquisitions and joint ventures. He has also represented issuers and underwriters in initial public offerings (IPOs) and securities transactions in the United States and the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange. Linsenmayer represents private equity firms and portfolio companies in various corporate investment transactions.

“Jeff and Bryce’s collective experience – spanning from corporate work to financings to regulatory matters – enhances our ability to serve our clients on a wide range of issues they currently face in the energy industry today,” said Joanne Katsantonis, co-chair of the firm’s energy team.

Thomas Farrell, managing partner of the Houston office, added, “Jeff and Bryce will undoubtedly stengthen our team in Houston. We are delighted that they’ve decided to join the firm.”

Prior to his time at BNP, Gollomp served as general counsel for Cinergy Corp.’s (now part of Duke Energy) commercial businesses, lead FERC counsel at Cinergy, group vice president of strategy and development at Duke Energy Americas, and as an advisory attorney at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He earned his J.D. from Emory University in 1990 and currently serves as a board member of the Energy Bar Association. Previously with Baker & McKenzie LLP, Linsenmayer earned his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991.
