The Houston office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Brett J. Young as a partner in the firm’s toxic tort/product liability practice. Young joins K&L Gates from Norton Rose Fulbright LLP.

Young focuses his practice on tort matters, dispute resolution and energy, environmental, catastrophic, and mass disaster litigation. He counsels clients on disaster and crisis response, risk management programs, and toxic tort and product liability defense.

“Brett Young is an exciting addition for our Houston office,” said Craig W. Budner, Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ Houston office. “A trial lawyer accomplished beyond his years, he is a perfect fit to bolster our growing client opportunities in Houston and beyond.”

Young’s arrival follows the additions of several other Houston partners since the office’s launch in February 2013, including in the firm’s commercial disputes, energy, corporate/M&A, antitrust, and restructuring and bankruptcy practices. In January, the office also welcomed Randel R. Young as a partner in the firm’s energy, infrastructure and resources practice area.
