Katarzyna “Kasia” Brozynski has joined Gordon & Rees’s Dallas office as a partner in the Intellectual Property and Sports, Media & Entertainment Practice Groups. Joining the firm with her is associate Sorana G. Ban.

Brozynski is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Her experience includes representing clients in transactional matters such as domestic and international patent and trademark prosecutions and oppositions, copyright issues, Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy arbitration proceedings, and export controls. She also handles IP portfolio valuations, rendering freedom to practice and patentability opinions as well as drafting and negotiating licensing agreements in all areas of intellectual property. She assists clients in negotiating royalty licenses in commercial areas including biomedical engineering, computer sciences engineering, and oil and gas technologies.

Brozynski has significant experience as a litigator. She represents clients in patent, trademark, and copyright infringement actions as well as false advertising and trade secrets litigation. She also has represented a Fortune 500 company in trade dress, dilution, and Lanham Act litigation. Over the course of her career, she has handled a variety of complex commercial litigation matters such as contract disputes and product liability, professional liability and antitrust matters.

Brozynski earned a B.S. in mathematics and biology from the Kasprowicz School, Lodz, Poland; an M.D. from the Medical University of Lodz; and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Texas and Colorado.
