Guida, Slavich & Flores, PC. is pleased to announce that John Dugdale has joined the Firm as Of Counsel in its Dallas office. Dugdale has comprehensive experience handling all aspects of environmental remedial and related regulatory compliance issues.

“John is a talented and experienced environmental attorney in an array of areas, especially waste management and Superfund issues,” said Joe Guida, managing shareholder at Guida, Slavich & Flores. “He will add extremely valuable depth to the environmental legal services we provide to our clients.””

Dugdale’s practice focuses on the formulation and implementation of strategies relating to permitting and compliance oversight of regulated facilities, the defense of permit challenges, and the negotiation and oversight of corrective action and voluntary clean-up projects. His Superfund practice includes work on all aspects of simple and complex Superfund emergency response and remediation sites, cost recovery and contribution matters, and the negotiation and resolution of natural resource damages among state, federal and Native American trustees. He also adds to the Firm’s practice in the areas of environmental criminal and conservation law.

“I’m pleased to join Guida, Slavich & Flores because of the Firm’s superior national reputation in environmental law and the fine lawyers here,” said Dugdale. “I’ve known members of this Firm since the 1990s and we share a common language in our environmental practice.”

Dugdale previously practiced as Counsel in the Dallas office of Burford & Ryburn LLP and as a partner at the Dallas office of Andrews Kurth. Before entering private practice, he served as the principal hazardous waste lawyer with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters’ Criminal Enforcement Program, and subsequently served as the Senior Attorney in the Superfund Division of the Dallas Regional U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office, where he also continued to work in the criminal enforcement program. He received a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law and a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University. John is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Maryland.
