Jackson Walker is pleased to welcome Jonathan Lass to the firm. Mr. Lass joins the Intellectual Property group in the Austin office.

Mr. Lass represents and counsels clients on matters involving corporate and intellectual property legal matters. With both general counsel and law firm experience, he provides strategic legal advisement, drafting, and negotiation with a practical and problem solving approach to achieving the goals of his clients. Mr. Lass assists clients with a full range of technology and intellectual property legal services, including assisting his clients with strategies to commercialize their assets. He represents buyers, sellers, and investors in mergers and acquisitions. These transactions range from cash and stock mergers to share exchanges, asset sales and purchases, stock or other equity sales and purchases, and joint ventures.

Mr. Lass serves on the planning committee for the University of Texas School of Law’s Technology Law Conference; Chair of the Austin Bar Association Technology Law Committee; a member of the State Bar of Texas Technology Law section; and a member of the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Committee.

Mr. Lass also provides pro bono service to the underprivileged in Austin with Volunteer Legal Services. He has been a volunteer at Capital Area Food Bank of Central Texas, a committee member of Communities in School, a member of the U.S. Tennis Association, chapter president of the Association of Emory Alumni, and board member of the young professional board of Austin Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Lass received his B.A., cum laude, from Emory University. In 1996, he was a Bobby Jones Scholar at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Mr. Lass earned his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
