Jackson Walker LLP is pleased to welcome attorney Brit Nelson. He joins the Houston office as a partner in the Intellectual Property group.

Mr. Nelson assists clients throughout the United States and in foreign countries with intellectual property matters across a variety of industries for patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, domain names, advertising, misrepresentations and unfair trade practices under state and federal laws, and technology law. Mr. Nelson is experienced in obtaining and licensing patents, trademarks, copyrights, domain names, and other intellectual property.

Additionally, Mr. Nelson assists in corporate mergers and acquisitions in due diligence and negotiations. He relies on over two decades of legal experience and a prior decade of engineering experience in the aerospace and metal forging industries.

Mr. Nelson earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and his J.D. degree from Baylor University School of Law, where he was the Notes and Comments Editor and Research and Topics Editor for the Baylor Law Review
