National law firm Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry announced today the addition of Amy Moss as an equity shareholder in its Houston-based Business Practice. Moss will represent clients in matters of corporate transactions, securities and finance. Previously, Moss was an equity partner in the Houston office of Haynes and Boone, LLP.

“We are very pleased to welcome Amy to Chamberlain as an Equity Shareholder in the firm,” said Managing Shareholder Wayne Risoli. “Our growth is notable in the legal industry and has been catching the eye of significant national and local talent,” Risoli said. “In 2012, we recorded a 13 percent gain in revenue and a nearly 20 percent increase in profits per partner. We are fortunate in that well-respected attorneys, such as Amy, are realizing the opportunities Chamberlain presents.”

Over the course of her legal career, Moss has provided counsel to public and private companies across a broad spectrum of corporate transactions. Of note is her emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, private placements, public offerings and the cost effective representation of venture capitalists, private equity funds, entrepreneurs, start-ups and emerging technology companies.

“One of Amy’s great strengths is her breadth and depth of experience across a diverse range of industries,” noted James J. Spring, III, head of Chamberlain’s Business Group. “Of particular importance in Houston is Amy’s work representing energy concerns, especially in the areas of exploration and production, oil field services, clean energy and technology, as well as medical technology companies, including bioscience and medical device manufacturers.”

Moss graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance from Arizona State University before earning her J.D. at Vanderbilt University Law School. She is an avid supporter of the Houston arts community and has held numerous leadership roles at the nonprofit Stages Repertory Theatre, including board president and chairman of the board. In 2011, she received Stages Repertory Theatre’s third annual Theodore Award for Leadership Excellence in recognition of her long-standing service to the theatre.
