Labor and employment attorney Charles Jeremiah has joined Holland & Knight’s Houston office as a partner. He was formerly a partner with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith.

“Chuck’s arrival comes at a critical time for our team, which is continuing to grow based on strong client demand,” said Brad Hancock, executive partner of Holland & Knight’s Houston office. “His extensive litigation and trial experience will be an asset to our clients who face significant disputes with their employees.”

Mr. Jeremiah represents employers in labor and employment disputes and is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He routinely represents and advises businesses and governmental entities with respect to litigation and strategic planning and labor and employment law matters, and drafts employment agreements, manuals and other critical documents.

“I look forward to helping Holland & Knight expand its litigation offerings and brand recognition in Houston,” said Mr. Jeremiah. “The firm’s extensive U.S. platform will provide me with numerous opportunities to develop my practice and deliver greater client service.”

Mr. Jeremiah received his B.B.A. degree from Emory University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Tulane Law School. He is involved in several local and state bar activities and currently serves as chair of the Houston Bar Association Historical Committee. Mr. Jeremiah maintains an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Holland & Knight opened its Houston office in September 2015. Its Houston lawyers focus on trials and dispute resolution of complex commercial matters. These include cases involving financial institutions, labor and employment, securities, data privacy and security, and products and intellectual property disputes, as well as class action defense and energy law.
