Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Richard A. Malahowski as of counsel in the firm’s Dallas office.

Malahowski focuses his practice on all areas of labor law, including labor litigation and arbitration, as well as general corporate law, administrative law, and commercial contracts.

Prior to joining Ford & Harrison, Malahowski was Chief Labor Counsel for American Airlines, Inc. During his 33 years with the company, among other things he handled all aspects of labor law matters including the supervision of other internal labor and other attorneys, as well as selection and management of outside counsel for entire spectrum of airline labor issues, such as negotiation and mediation issues, rights arbitration, interest arbitration, union representation disputes, Presidential Emergency Board, strike preparations, labor injunction proceedings, preparations for possible bankruptcy, FAA enforcement proceedings, and litigation related to all of these topics.

Prior to law school, Malahowski served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator. Also, he flew for American as a pilot for a time in addition to continuing as an attorney in American’s Legal Department.
