We are pleased to announce the addition of John T. Wilson, Jr. to our firm. This now brings our practice group to 11 attorneys.

Mr. Wilson’s practice focuses on financial institutions, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and regulatory compliance. In particular, John advises his clients on matters related to the acquisition or sale of existing financial institutions, the acquisition, sale, establishment and relocation of branch offices, and both public and private debt and equity security offerings. He also advises financial institutions regarding regulatory compliance matters involving the FDIC, the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and other state regulatory agencies. Prior to joining FKHF, John practiced at Vinson and Elkins in Houston, Texas where he:

  • Advised and represented a private Texas-based oil and gas exploration and production company in its $390 million initial public offering
  • Represented a Texas-based oilfield services company in the sale of its international compression and processing business for $430 million
  • Counseled a Canadian oilfield services company in the acquisition of a Texas-based tubing service provider for $147 million
  • Represented a US energy company in the acquisition of various power generation and coal producing properties for $140 million

John is a graduate of Harvard University and The University of Texas School of Law, and resides in Austin, TX with his wife Leslie.
