Dykema today announced the addition of John C. Dickey to its Corporate Finance Practice Group as a member in the firm’s Dallas office. Dickey has extensive experience in many aspects of corporate and commercial law, both domestic and international. His practice focuses on corporate mergers and acquisitions, securities and private equity with a particular emphasis on representing emerging growth companies, both public and private. His clients span a broad range of industries including high-tech, software, automotive, telecommunications, semi-conductors, aerospace, energy and government contracts.

“John, combined with the recent arrivals of veteran M&A and bankruptcy attorney Bill Finkelstein and David Schenck, former Deputy Attorney General for Legal Counsel to the Texas Attorney General, reinforces the firm’s commitment to advance our presence here through the additions of high-quality laterals across a number of strategic practice groups,” said Darrell E. Jordan, Managing Member of Dykema’s Dallas office.

Dickey has a successful track record of representing international businesses and individuals with complex cross-border endeavors throughout Asia, Europe and the United States. He has a substantial amount of experience in international transactions, corporate securities and financial matters. In addition, his practice includes complex corporate governance issues and high profile internal investigations.

“John is a talented lawyer with a wealth of knowledge and experience in complex domestic and international corporate and transactional matters,” said Peter M. Kellett, Dykema’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “He’ll strengthen our recently launched Korean Business Initiative and the firm’s national public securities and private equity practices.”

Dickey is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, College of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, International Bar Association and a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
