Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr PC, a law firm with over 100 attorneys and offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas, announces that Associate Derek Flynn has joined the Austin office. He will work in the Business Litigation group.

Derek’s practice focuses on business litigation, construction law, labor and employment litigation, intellectual property disputes, insurance defense and white-collar criminal defense. Derek regularly represents clients in state and federal district courts across Texas and the nation, as well as before various state and federal regulatory agencies including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the United States Department of Defense and the Texas Public Utility Commission. Prior to entering private practice, Derek served as a Chief Prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in Houston, Texas where he handled and prosecuted a wide variety of cases.

Derek has extensive trial experience with more than 60 first chair jury trials. He is licensed in Texas and Minnesota and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the Northern District of Indiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Derek earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law.
