Jackson Walker is pleased to welcome new attorney Brian K. Prewitt to its Austin office.

Mr. Prewitt’s practice focuses on matters relating to patents, trademarks, and copyrights, technology development, acquisition, licensing, strategic alliances, distributorship and manufacturing agreements, due diligence, counseling, and litigation. He has significant technical experience in the areas of integrated circuit design, semiconductor manufacturing technology, computer architecture, and computer systems. Before attending law school, Mr. Prewitt worked as a circuit design engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Mr. Prewitt is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Austin Bar Association, Austin Young Lawyers Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Austin Intellectual Property Law Association. Mr. Prewitt received his B.S., summa cum laude, in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and his J.D., with high honors, from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Asian Law Students Association, a chairperson of the Chancellors Legal Research Board, and four-time recipient of the Dean’s Achievement Award.
