Bracewell & Giuliani LLP announced today that Roxanne T. Almaraz has joined the firm as a partner in its Houston office. A well-regarded corporate attorney, Almaraz counsels clients in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other business transactions, and assists clients with project development and general corporate matters. She has experience in transactional matters that span the energy industry, having represented clients in the power/utilities, renewables, and midstream and upstream oil and gas sectors.

Almaraz has also represented strategic and financial investors in matters collectively involving more than 60 power generation facilities throughout North America. Her experience in the power space is not limited to generation assets; she has also represented clients in matters involving smart grid infrastructure, distribution assets, and transmission line development.

Almaraz’s upstream oil and gas experience spans the globe, representing both public and private entities in complex offshore and onshore transactions throughout North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

“We are excited to have Roxanne join the firm,” said Bracewell Managing Partner Mark C. Evans. “Her experience and knowledge will greatly enhance the firm’s capability to serve our energy clients in Houston and beyond.”

Formerly at Vinson & Elkins, Almaraz received her law degree from Stanford Law School and a B.S., highest honors, from the University of Texas in Austin. After law school, she served as a judicial clerk to The Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn, United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
