Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that John Adkins has joined the Firm as a Partner in the Finance, Restructuring, and Bankruptcy group. Mr. Adkins represents clients in business transactions, including banking, real estate, and corporate matters. He is based in the Firm’s Houston office.

Mr. Adkins joins Blank Rome from Strasburger & Price. In years prior, he served as senior vice president/general counsel of a Houston-based bank, and as a senior officer of a public company providing diversified financial services throughout the United States.

In his practice, Mr. Adkins works with individuals and public and private companies on matters involving corporate and securities, real estate, insurance, and administrative law. He represents businesses in a variety of industries, including food products, real estate, construction materials, energy, technology, and transportation. Mr. Adkins also often works with entrepreneurs and established businesses in financing transactions, contracts, stock options, employment agreements, and corporate governance.

Mr. Adkins received his B.A. from the University of Texas and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he served as managing editor of the Texas Law Review. Committed to his alma mater, Mr. Adkins served as president of the UT alumni association from 2005-2006, and sits on the Forty Acres Scholarship Steering Committee, the UT Law School Alumni Association Executive Committee, and the UT Development Board. He is also a frequent lecturer at the Houston Bar Association.
