Wick Phillips, a full-service business law firm with offices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin, Texas, announces that Austin Pennington has joined the Dallas office as an Associate. Pennington will specialize in civil, property tax and business litigation, in addition to providing counsel to clients on civil appellate law matters. Prior to joining Wick Phillips, Pennington worked with Myers Hill in Fort Worth.

While completing both Law School and his Master’s in Business Administration Programs at Texas Tech University, Pennington competed on many National Advocacy Teams, including a team that won a National Moot Court Championship at the Yale School of Law Tournament in 2010. He also had an article selected for publication while a member of the Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal: “The Robin Hood Plan: Is Stealing from the Rich Really Giving More to the Poor?”

Pennington graduated magna cum laude with a B.B.A in finance and also earned his M.B.A and J.D all from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Admitted to practice in the State of Texas in 2012, and the U.S. District Court, North District of Texas in 2013, Pennington is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and Young Lawyers Association. He is also active within the community, volunteering to serve as a youth basketball coach at the Fort Worth Westside YMCA.
