George Y. Gonzalez, an attorney with broad experience counseling U.S. and Latin American businesses in general corporate, energy and mergers and acquisition law, has joined the Haynes and Boone, LLP Houston office as a partner in the International Practice Group.
“George’s vast legal knowledge and strong focus on Latin America and Spain (both inbound and outbound) will bolster the existing capabilities of our firm,” said Steven Buxbaum, co-chair of the firm’s corporate section. “He has represented both domestic and international clients across a wide range of industries, so firm clients in sectors from energy to real estate will benefit from his deep background counseling U.S. and Latin American businesses.”
Gonzalez’s practice centers on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate control matters, securities, privately held companies and international legal issues.
His experiences range from counseling public and private corporations and other business on corporate, partnership or other limited liability structure; providing day-to-day guidance for operating and transaction strategies; and negotiating combination, service agreements and public-private partnerships.
Haynes and Boone offers extensive cross-border resources in its U.S. offices, particularly from Houston.
