The Underwood Law Firm, P.C. is pleased to announce the opening of their new office in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, which will be headed by the Firm’s newest shareholder, Melissa Ballou Kates.

Melissa, an Amarillo native, has practiced in the Dallas and Fort Worth area for over ten years and, in 2013, was voted one of the 40 under 40 by the Fort Worth Business Press. “The Firm is very lucky to have someone of Melissa’s quality. She has an excellent reputation and will be a very good addition to the Underwood group. The Firm has been looking to expand in to the Fort Worth area for some time but it was important for us to find the right person. We believe we have found that person in Melissa” said Alan Rhodes, President of the Underwood Law Firm.

Underwood is a general practice Firm with its main office in Amarillo and other offices in Lubbock, Pampa, and Hereford. While Underwood is a general practice law firm they do have a very strong education practice focusing on the representation of school districts. “The addition of Melissa and the office in Fort Worth, will allow the Firm to continue growing its educational practice,” said Alan Rhodes.
