Kenya S. Woodruff has joined the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone, LLP as of counsel in the firm’s Healthcare Practice.

“Kenya is an excellent addition to the firm and will complement our team as the practice continues to grow,” said Bill Morrison, a healthcare and antitrust litigator in Haynes and Boone’s White Collar Criminal Defense Practice. “Her experience serving as primary in-house counsel for many years will help us bridge the ever-widening needs of healthcare clients for corporate, regulatory and litigation advice.”

Ms. Woodruff has a variety of experience with litigation, regulatory and operational issues, including governmental procurement, Texas Public Information Act, crisis management, privacy, consent to treatment, determination of death, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, compliance with Joint Commission standards, false claim acts, and fraud and abuse.

“Kenya’s experience gives us deep bench strength in issues of compliance,” said Michael Silhol, of counsel in the firm’s Healthcare Practice. “Her rich background in healthcare investigations will be invaluable to the institutions and organizations we represent as government enforcement actions continue to proliferate.”

She received her B.A. from Emory University and J.D. from the Duke University School of Law.
