Jackson Walker L.L.P. is pleased to welcome Nathaniel (Nate) St. Clair, II to its Dallas office. Mr. St. Clair joins the firm as Senior Counsel in the Litigation group.

Mr. St. Clair counsels clients in a wide range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on IP litigation, IP licensing and portfolio management, patentability studies, product analyses, and general IP counseling, particularly in the electrical and mechanical arts. His experience also includes counseling clients regarding patent and trademark procurement before the USPTO and providing strategic counsel to clients regarding sports and entertainment law matters.

Mr. St. Clair joins a formidable IP Litigation team distinguished by its successful trial strategies, skillful advocacy, and track record for obtaining results for clients in cases across the country and around the world. The firm has successfully enforced and defended all types of intellectual property matters for Fortune 500 companies and high–profile clients including Wal–Mart, RadioShack, The New York Times, and Oprah Winfrey, to name just a few. Jackson Walker also has extensive experience representing U.S. and international technology clients, including Google, Hyundai, LG Electronics, Samsung, Nokia, and Lucent Technologies in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters. Jackson Walker has developed particularly deep experience handling cases in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, one of the busiest venues in the nation for patent litigation, and in 2012, Jackson Walker welcomed Former Eastern District Chief Judge David Folsom, who now leads the firm’s Texarkana office.

Mr. St. Clair said that he was impressed by the strength of the firm’s IP Litigation practice and looks forward to working alongside seasoned trial lawyers, such as Bob Latham, Chip Babcock, and Russ Meyer. Mr. St. Clair also plans to further develop his Entertainment Law and Sports Law practices with support from the firm’s deep bench in those areas.

Mr. St. Clair’s previous experience includes having worked as a patent engineer for GE Healthcare and as a law clerk for the General Counsel and Vice President of the Milwaukee Bucks NBA Franchise. Mr. St. Clair is active in community service and pro bono work. For many years, he has volunteered his time and served as a Board Member for both St. Philip’s School and Community Center and the Big Brothers & Big Sisters organization. Most recently, Mr. St. Clair has dedicated his time to counseling pro bono clients on various issues ranging from copyright and trademark infringement to defamation and rights of publicity matters.
