Veteran real estate attorney David L. Fields has joined the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone, LLP as a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group.

“David is an excellent addition to our growing real estate practice and we are excited to have him,” said Matthew R. Schindel, co-chair of the Real Estate Practice Group. “His skill set will be a great addition to the depth and experience already offered by our team of more than 50 seasoned real estate professionals.”

Fields has more than 20 years of experience counseling and assisting developers, corporations, investors, family offices, insurance companies and hedge funds in real estate matters. His practice spans projects throughout the United States. His practical experience includes the acquisition, development and sale of income and non-income producing properties; space and ground leases; air rights agreements; corporate real estate transactions; lot sale contracts; property owners’ associations; real estate finance (including significant experience in representing developers in connection with loan agreements); property development agreements; and real estate foreclosures, workouts and restructurings.

Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, Fields was a partner at K&L Gates.

Fields received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and juris doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
