Akin Gump advised EP Energy Corporation in its initial public offering of 35.2 million shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $20 per share, which closed on January 23. The underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase from the company up to an additional 5.28 million shares of common stock at the public offering price (less underwriting discounts and commissions). A Houston-based Akin Gump team advised the Conflicts Committee of the Board of Directors of Rose Rock Midstream’s general partner in Rose Rock’s acquisition from SemGroup Corporation of an additional one-third interest in SemCrude Pipeline, L.L.C., which owns a 51 percent interest in White Cliffs Pipeline L.L.C., for $275 million.
