If you haven’t been to Dallas for a while, it’s high time for a visit. With the recent opening of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, and the expansion and development of the Dallas Arts District, it is an exciting time in the city’s history.
Dallas has long been known for its multitude of restaurants, shopping areas and professional sports teams, but the city has really come into its own as a bona fide travel destination. The new Dallas Omni Hotel has become an eye-catching staple of the city’s downtown skyline and, with a skybridge connecting it to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, the area has become the hub for visiting groups and events. The new Margaret Hunt Hill bridge solidifies the Dallas cityscape as one of the most recognizable in the country, and more plans are underway for the Trinity River Corridor.
The Arts District, including the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Crow Collection of Asian Art, the Meyerson Symphony Center and the Winspear Opera House, offers both visitors and locals a myriad of first class cultural experiences all in an easy and walkable footprint. Completing the north end of The Arts District is the newly finished Klyde Warren Park, a beautiful green oasis built directly over the Woodall Rogers Freeway. The park is overflowing with a variety of fun activities: a reading and games area, a putting green, a children’s playground, live music, yoga classes and more.
Of course, another important trait that Dallas boasts: a solid and stable job market. People consistently relocate here, not only to enjoy patio weather in January, but also a thriving corporate climate. Even when much of the U.S. was hurting from the deep recession, the business environment in Dallas remained relatively unscathed.
Dallas has always been a great place to live and work–and now it’s also a terrific place to visit. We are happy to talk with you about life and work in Dallas. Just give us a holler.
