Polsinelli welcomes highly experienced intellectual property attorney Adam C. Rehm to the firm’s Dallas office. A registered U.S. patent attorney, Rehm brings extensive experience to the firm including two years as a U.S. Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He specializes in intellectual property, patent and trademark prosecution, licensing and litigation.

“I’m looking forward to helping build Polsinelli’s intellectual property practice,” said Rehm. “The firm’s strong patent focus was attractive to me, and I hope to contribute to its growth not only in the Dallas market but nationally as well.”

Rehm is the first patent attorney in Polsinelli’s Dallas office, which was established in 2011, and he is tasked with claiming a share of the region’s demanding market for patent preparation and prosecution for the firm. This high demand is evidenced by the USPTO’s recent launch of a regional office in Dallas to accommodate a growing amount of regional entrepreneurs and innovative DFW businesses. The office is scheduled to relocate to Dallas’ Terminal Annex Federal Building in September of this year, according to The National Law Review.

“The attorneys who choose Polsinelli are business-focused and because of that bring a differentiated level of expertise and knowledge to exceed our clients’ legal needs,” said Dallas Office Managing Partner Jonathan Henderson. “Adam embodies those qualities and is a great cultural fit for our Dallas office as well and enhances the scope of the intellectual property practice area within our firm nationally, and he will strengthen our patent preparation and other intellectual property offerings to the Fortune 500 companies and others in the North Texas region.”

In addition to his work as a U.S. Patent Examiner and attorney, Rehm has also advised research and development teams regarding intellectual property portfolio management, valuation and development. His book encompasses a wide variety of clients in numerous industries, including global manufacturers of electronics and software, surgeons, engineers, health and wellness product manufactures, web application developers, and entrepreneurs. Of recent notably, Rehm helped build a patent portfolio for an emerging security software company that was eventually acquired for nearly $1 billion.
